Offering pizzas and pastas at reasonable prices, Pino remains a cornerstone on Crescent Street since 1986. With breakfast, lunch, happy hour specials and dinner all on the menu, Pino simply blends their offerings with the vibrant crowds of Crescent Street. Located on Crescent at the corner of De Maisonneuve, Pino Restaurant offers two floors and the largest terrace on the street looking over the animated party people of Crescent Street. The modern décor and extensive wine selection at Pino gives this restaurant/bar/lounge the nod for great group parties and/or drinks for two.

Wienstein and Gavino’s has three floors plus ground-level patio enticing the crowds for lunch or dinner. The crowds are generally business colleagues for the lunch express menu, younger for the happy hour (4-8 pm weekdays) and socially inclined for dinner. Hotties make their way to the terrace during the summer days while Wienstein’s offers a late-night menu (till 1 AM) year-round. Highlights of the à la carte menu include fried calamari for the antipasto, with risotto and fish or steak options for main dishes. Pastas remain under 20$ a dish whereas the table d’hôte menu’s most expensive option is $24.

Former F1 driver and local hero Jacques Villeneuve opened this do-it-all venue with major hoopla back in 2001 (and a US$5.3 million renovation price tag). Newtown is on the Southwest corner of Crescent and De Maisonneuve and is large, slick and accommodating for all forms of nightlife entertainment. With the club bumping’ house and hip-hop in the basement, the ground floor lounge is the place to be on Thursdays after work for happy hour. Move on upstairs to the second floor restaurant for world cuisine and the interesting menu. The starter menu ranges from $14 to $24 while the main menu features a diverse group of meats and fish all priced under $45. After dinner move either upstairs to the rooftop terrace (weather permitted) or cruise back down to the jiving lounge.

The walls of Montreal’s Hard Rock Café feature rockers from the past, while the kitchen has steadily kept the burgers and classic sandwiches highly regarded. On the western side of Crescent in between Ste-Catherine and De Maisonneuve, the Hard Rock Café opened in 1990 on Crescent and has maintained its status as a great option for easy food in the Crescent nightlife hotspot. With two floors and a terrace out front, be sure to try the Legendary 10 Oz. Burger or the recommended Cobb salad.

As the upstairs restaurant/bistro of the famous three-floor Sir Winston Churchill Pub, Winnie’s takes the cake for pub food on Crescent since it opened in 1967. With the loyal business crowd enjoying the table d’hôte, cougar-hunting and not-so-studious university crowds also fill in for the daily drink specials. The menu rises to the challenge of bar grub, with the roast beef plate gliding past lunch and onto the dinner menu. And yes, the seven-days-a-week happy hour also features a free buffet. Lunch is a three-course table d’hôte ranging from $9 to $17 whereas the dinner menu ranges from $10 to $30.

Les Beaux Jeudis, French for “The Beautiful Thursdays”, is the restaurant upstairs Thursday’s Bar, which also features Thursday’s Club in the basement. Thursday’s is connected to Hotel De La Montagne, which has a rooftop pool for weekend partying during the summer. The clientele ranges with business crowds, hôtel guests, visitors cruising the strip and the local or foreign student crowd. Move onto the pub for pickup-central, but stay at the restaurant for the famous steak tartar, rack of lamb, and flambéed ribsteak. Prices remain low and make sure to ask for the $24 weekly specials including the Wednesday all-you-can-eat shrimp extraordinaire.

So it’s three in the morning and all that booz has your stomach begging for some late-night eats. Get to the northwest corner of Crescent and De Maisonneuve and wait in line for Lebanese food at its post-partying best. The vegetarian sandwich has been praised with good reason, but no one can deny Boustan’s shish taouks and falafels. Ask for extra napkins and don’t forget to pack a pocket full of mint candies for that garlic breath.

Dundee’s has been in the same location for ten years on the corner of Crescent Street and De Maisonneuve. A friendly staff and an excellent grill in the kitchen make Dundee’s a great option to catch the game and enjoy your meal. The restaurant’s seating arrangement is cozy and has a great window view to watch all the college students work their way back to Concordia University. The summertime terrace is the best option to eat for Crescent Street above De Maisonneuve.

Maevva, which is translated to “welcome” in Polynesian French, is located on the west side of Crescent Street and features a tapas menu of Portuguese and Mediterannean flavor. Grilled squid, sautéed Portuguese sausage and grilled quails highlight the appetizers. The succulent main course meals include the pork medallion and the seafood cataplana for two.
